About
Huskee is a multidisciplinary visual artist specializing in painting and mixed media drawing, whose work spans from horror-inspired illustrations to abstract fine art. Her illustrative style blends surreal, horror-themed imagery with distorted, character-driven figures, creating eerie, dreamlike visuals with raw, visceral undertones. In contrast, her abstract art explores emotion, memory, and internal landscapes through layered color and fluid lines. Though these styles exist in their own worlds, they are united by a core purpose: to provoke emotion, spark curiosity, and invite deeper reflection.
Drawing since childhood, Huskee expanded her practice as a teenager to include abstract painting in watercolor and acrylic, which continue to be among her favored mediums. Originally from the Eastern Coast of the United States, she graduated from an art-focused high school in Vermont before attending the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore in 2010, concentrating in illustration, fine art, and graphic design.
In 2011, Huskee founded the artist collective Whisky Kettle Collectives, showcasing work from 14 artists through an online store, blog, and YouTube channel. Through the collective, she promoted emerging artists by creating products ranging from graphic t-shirts to prints and posters featuring each artist's work. Whisky Kettle Collectives regularly hosted gallery shows and artist events in Baltimore, collaborating with local musicians, and became a well-known brand among locals and MICA students. Due to a lack of funding, she ended the collective in 2014 but has since applied many lessons from that experience to launch her brand, Huskee Art, in 2024 and Designs by Huskee, in 2025.
Now based in California, Huskee is expanding her art business to include prints, stickers, stationery, stamps, home goods, and apparel. In 2024, she was selected as one of 16 artists to create a large mural featured in Mark Makers’ Quarterly magazine, completed in 2025 and now on public display in Art Alley in the SOFA Arts District, Santa Rosa, CA. Her work has also been featured in independent art publications and she will participate in her first international group exhibition in 2026, with plans to expand her exhibitions locally and nationally. Whether through art classes, events, or collaborative projects, Huskee is always exploring ways to expand her artistic practice and connect with artists and collectors in the U.S. and abroad.
